Loris Diran Spring/Summer 2011

Loris Diran's Spring/Summer 2011 women's collection, “URBAN OASIS” took place at the Audi Forum on September 15th. It was an artistic presentation, with models standing on a moving, circular floor space. The presentation allowed for guests to take closer look at the details of each piece.

The "URBAN OASIS" collection is inspired by sun faded colors baked in the desert heat, hot streets of New York City and the folded details of traditional Bedouin apparel.

Loris focuses on texture and a mixture of fabrics - flowing silk cotton voiles with hammered cotton, tissue light wool crepes combined with wispy crinkle chiffons, and cashmere/silk seersuckers sculpted in washed tones such as Blush, Salmon, Periwinkle, Ink, Mauve, Terracotta, Ivory, and Sand.

Fabrics are draped and folded to create sharp lines at certain points and deconstruction at others.

The Spring/Summer 2011 season marks Loris' first-time collaboration with Korean shoe designer Jinny Kim, to create the Jinny Kim for LORIS DIRAN shoe collection.

Hair styling was done by CHRISTO 5th Avenue and makeup was done by DEX New York.

Another feminine and sophisticated season of dressing for spring/summer! Congratulations Loris!
