I recently tested out the SRS iWOW 3D Audio Adaptor, which enhances the sound quality of your iPod, iPhone or iPad, whether you are listening to music or watching a movie. Once you plug in the adapter, you can immediately hear the difference - it's like plugging into a portable home theater system. I can't imagine listening to anything without it now!
There's also a free SRS iWOW app you can download that allows you to adjust the audio settings. The SRS iWow 3D Adaptor retails for $59.99 and can be purchased at srslabs.com. Such a great stocking stuffer for the holidays!
