Nicholas K Fall 2012 is inspired by Tao artists of the 20's and 30's, infused with Western influence. Leather from Nicholas K is always a favorite of mine, so I was excited to see the sexy, edgy and modern leather jackets for both men and women. The collection also includes bias-cut tops and dresses, fringe details and wedge platform booties and over-the-knee boots.
The men's shoes are made by Vintage Shoe Company, featuring "Bluff", in black and brown harness leather, along with custom versions in tan suede and aged grey leather.
I love the Zinger pant with patches of leather from Fall 2011, so I was happy to see a similar pant (Cole pant) in this collection. I wear the Zinger pant as a legging or pushed up for a slouchy, loose fit, so I love that same versatility with the Cole pant to wear two different ways.
The palette includes grey heather, granite, graphite, mink, khaki, sand, onyx and black.
This collection is wearable and easy to layer - what's not to love about it?
