Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2013 introduces a punk baroque theme, through a dark yet elegant palette of grape, merlot, cassis, and black and ivory. The collection features perfectly tailored evening separates and gowns in leather and lace. Details include sequin, baroque and tile embroidery on leather as well as alligator and corsetry detailing. Looks graced the runway in sparkle tweeds, sheared mink, silk and moire taffetas, wool and sequined and embroidered tulle. My favorite pieces are the cassis feathered fox coat and chinchilla vest.
Launching in Fall 2013 and making its runway debut is the Carmen Marc Valvo Calzature footwear
collection, in partnership with H.H. Brown Shoe Company. Three of the featured footwear styles on the runway include: BETH, a suede ankle boot accented with sleek mesh and a bow; ELSIE, a modern patent leather Mary Jane with a double
strap and pointed closure; and MARA, a pointed double wrap ankle strap pump.
