Nicholas K Fall 2013 takes inspiration from the époque of the Arctic explorations in the late 19th to early 20th century. The collection features light flowing knits, jumpers, dresses, chunky plush sweaters and jackets in cotton, rich wool blends, leather and knitted raccoon hair. The palette includes Polar, Polar Plaid, Coal, Mercury, Smoke Heather and Alga, drawn from the Arctic world.
Angular cuts, shifted drapery and asymmetrical tailoring make it possible to layer soft fabrics without appearing bulky. Scarf hoodies, goggles, geode necklaces and wedge shoes contributed to the Arctic chic look.
