On February 6th, attendees celebrated the launch of the Prabal Gurung for Target collection at Pier 57. Guests had a chance to preview and shop the collection, which launches at Target on February 10th.
Target always puts on a great party, but of all their launch events, this was by far my favorite one. This party had it all - carnival rides and games, food trucks including Rickshaw Dumpling, macarons and smores from Sweetery and signature empanadas from Nuchas, along with amazing catering - mini Patron and Coke bottles, and fried clams partnered with a mini Bloody Mary. The launch event also included music by DJ Mia Moretti and a surprise performance by Ne-Yo. This party was the perfect scene for a photo shoot, complete with a flower-filled red carpet.
Prabal Gurung for Target is inspired by love, with Floral Crush, First Date, Meet the Parents and Nolita prints and Apple Red, Dresden Blue, and Sulfur Spring colorful solids.
My favorite pieces include the sleeveless blouse and short-sleeve dress in First Date print, shorts in Floral Crush print, sleeveless dress in Meet the Parents print and black and white pintuck dress. The apparel starts at size 2 and I'm a size 0/00, so I won't be able to sport any of the pieces but I definitely can't wait to see my favorites on other fashionistas. The shoes start at size 5 1/2. I'm a size 5 so no shoes for me (sad face) but the lace-up pumps, ankle-strap pumps and wedge sandals were all on my list. I am excited about the miniaudiere I got in the Nolita print!
Check out the lookbook at target.com to view the full collection and get ready to shop on Sunday!

Ah! Looked like such a fun time. I'm so jealous! You and I both won't be fitting into the clothes but I definitely can't wait to look at their shoes when they come out... if they're not sold out by the time I get there of course. You know how these Target collaborations go (except the NM one though...).
ReplyDeleteLovely pics and post. :)
Thanks! It was a lot of fun. Glad I went! I hope you are able to get some of the shoes!
